It can be used to camouflage alopecia/hair loss, to recreate eyebrows lost following chemotherapy or other conditions.

It is perfect for ladies with allergies to conventional makeup products.

It is ideal for busy women with little time for their makeup routine.

It is a great solution for ladies with an unsteady hand or poor eyesight.

It is an excellent solution for women with active lifestyles who exercise or swim regularly that find makeup products smudge or disappear.

In most cases, it can be used to correct a previous eyebrow tattoo.

It can remedy sparse or uneven eyebrows.

If you lack confidence when applying makeup or you simply don’t want the need for makeup ever again, then cosmetic tattooing is for you!

HOW LONG DOES COSMETIC EYEBROW TATTOO LAST?

Like any tattoo, cosmetic tattooing will fade over time making the treatment semi-permanent apposed to permanent. These Brows can last from 1 to 3 years depending on one's skin type and lifestyle. If you use lots of exfoliating skin-care ingredients or don't shield your brows from the sun, you may notice them fading quicker which is why we recommend an annual touch up session to boost the colour of your tattoo and regain a nice defined shape.

WHAT ARE THE POTENTIAL RISKS OF COSMETIC TATTOO?

As with all Tattooing infection is a potential risk! we are opening the skin and blood-borne pathogens can be spread,  anytime the skin barrier is disrupted during a procedure there is a risk of bacteria entering and causing an infection so we make sure to use sterile equipment, disposable where possible and on a thoroughly cleaned surface area.

Infection can also occur if clients don't follow the proper aftercare, to help avoid this from being an issue we are sure to educate you through all aftercare instructions before you leave with a copy of them for you to refer back too and also any aftercare products needed to help with the healing process. It is at this stage of the treatment that it is your responsibility to follow the aftercare provided.

Aside from the medical risks, there's also the chance that may be unhappy with the finished work, please bear in mind that the appearance of freshly tattooed brows can be vastly different in colour intensity and size due to initial swelling, this being said we make sure that you are 100% happy with the pre draw and measurement of the brows prior to starting the tattooing procedure.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING HEALING?

Cosmetic Tattooing generally take approximately 7-10 days to heal when following the correct aftercare instructions.

Your brows will appear a lot darker and more intense than what they will look like once healed. Over the first few days, they will be at their darkest. They might scab and flake, this is completely normal. While they heal, this will fade to reveal a much lighter colour. Please keep in mind that everyone’s skin will heal differently! The true colour of the tattoo will not be revealed until after 4 weeks. The touch up is then completed at 4-6 weeks to perfect any areas that need some extra attention.

DOES EYEBROW TATTOOING HURT?

Accredited cosmetic tattoo technicians use topical anaesthetics, but they need to be supplied by the client as tattoo artists and laser technicians are not authorised to sell or supply scheduled medicines.

The technician can help you organise the sourcing of anaesthetics from a compounding pharmacy.

"The topical anaesthetics work really well. Some people might feel a bit of discomfort, but it's not a pain that's traumatic or one needs to get nervous about.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW PRIOR TO MY APPOINTMENT?

This information is provided to ensure that there is minimal bleeding during the tattooing procedure. Failure to follow the below instructions can result in poor healed results.

-It is advised that you don't wax, thread or pluck your eyebrows for at least ONE week before your appointment.

-Do not consume any caffeine or alcohol the day of your appointment. This includes coffee, energy drinks, pre-work out, coca cola and tea.

-Do not take fish oils & vitamin E oils for a week before your treatment. Caffeine, alcohol & fish oils act as a blood thinner, causing you to potentially bleed during the process. This will stop the cosmetic tattoo pigment from holding in the skin.

-Blood thinning medication should be discussed with a doctor prior to your appointment. It will need to be stopped 1 day prior to your appointment, as you will bleed more during the tattoo process!

-You won't be able to heavily exercise (cause the face to sweat), use a sauna, swim or tan for ONE week.

-You can bring in reference pictures of eyebrows.

-Facials & skin peels should be avoided for one week before tattooing.

-Botox should be done 1 month before or 2 weeks after your brow tattoo appointment.

-Using a high Vitamin A, Retin-A or Tretinoin, this will need to be discontinued at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.

 What is the aftercare?

Following the aftercare instructions is extremely important in order to ensure good retention of colour during the healing process. Aftercare accounts for over 60% of the healed results.

-Apply any medicated cream or healing balm as recommended by your technician.

-Avoid getting the area wet for up to 10 days, which includes keeping your face dry during a shower. Use a damp face cloth or face wipe to clean your face.

-Use a damp cotton pad to gently wipe the area for the first two days. This will reduce the build up of lymph fluid as the brows heal and reduce the chances of scabbing.

-Don’t put makeup on your brows or forehead for at least 10 days. This is because the pigments are still settling into the shallow cuts in your skin caused by the blading. Applying makeup to the brows will increase the chance of infection.

-Don’t pick at scabs, tug, or itch the eyebrow area. Again, this will increase the chance of infection and possibly cause skin damage and scarring.

-Avoid saunas, swimming, and excessive sweating until the area is completely healed, which may take up to two weeks.

-Keep your hair away from your brows. Do not touch your brows with bare hands when they have been freshly done. Simple hygiene!

-Long Term Aftercare: Apply SPF-50 daily to the healed brow. Sun exposure over a prolonged period of time will fade the tattoo. Do not use strong chemical acids/ peels (salicylic, glycolic, lactic acids),IPL or laser on the healed cosmetic tattoo, as these will fade the tattoo over time.
