Radio Frequency Skin Tightening

Radio Frequency Skin Tightening uses a device that generates heat. This heat is direct to the area of concern and reaches the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate to production of collagen and elastin, ultimately helping to tighten loose, Lax skin.

Collagen is the most common protein in your body. It creates the framework of your skin and gives your skin its firmness. 

As you age, the quantity and quality of collagen fibers in your skin declines. 

RF therapy uses low energy radiation to heat the deeper layers of your skin, the heat stimulates the production of collagen to help improve signs of wrinkles and sagging skin In the face and laxity in the body.

Exposure to UV rays is a high contributor to  breaking down the collagen fibres in your skin. 

How long do results last?

RF skin tightening is a treatment with long lasting results, as it works to trigger the body's own natural healing process to increase collagen production. As a result, the effects of the treatment can last for between one to two years before patients will start to notice increased skin laxity again.

How many treatments are required?

This can vary for each individual and the area of which is being treated. Generally 4-8 treatments are recommended, followed by maintenance sessions as per your personal schedule. 

Who can't receive this treatment?

  • people pregnant or lactating

  • people with compromised skin

  • people with pacemakers or other electronic devices

  • poorly controlled medical conditions that could effect healing such as : diabetics, impaired immunity, radiation or chemotherapy patients

  • people with a history of bleeding disorders
